Brothels

On I-80, sandwiched between Winnemucca and Elko, each with four operating brothels, sits the little town of Battle Mountain. Once a thriving mining town, it's now a dusty place in the road, where people pass by, on their way somewhere else.
The easiest way to find the only brothel in town is to follow the signs posted on the freeway exits directing you to the Immigrent Trail Interpretive Center, which happens to be next to the Calico Club. The other brothel, the Desert Club, on the next block, closed nine years ago. The Calico Club opens at noon and closes at 2 AM and is usually closed on Sunday. If you plan on stopping in, you need to give them a call for their hours.
When you walk up to the locked door, you have to ring the doorbell. The bartender will unlatch the screen door to let you in, no fancy electonic buzzers here. The parlour/bar is a squarish room. There is a small kitchen table with chairs in the center of the room and a couch along the wall. At the far end of the parlour, a large screen projection TV dominates the room. They had TNN country music videos on the day I was there.
Next to the bar, the chatter of the ever present I-80 brothels, CB radio can be heard. The brothels in Winnemucca have their ladies trolling the airwaves to entice potential customers to their parlour. The female bartender in the Calico Club adds her voice to this CB radio gauntlet, tantalizing the weary and horny driver, with a refreshing hot shower, the willing, open arms of a hot woman and an ice cold brewski. It don't get any better, does it?
Sitting on the couch was the single working lady on duty. A slender, friendly, brunette. She was pleasant enough and easy to talk to. I asked about the traffic through the house, and she told me she did OK. Most of her customers were working guys; local miners, truckers passing through, and an occaisional tourist like me. I asked if she were the only gal in the house, she replied that there was another lady, but she wouldn't be 'clearing' for a couple of days.
There is a small room with a gift shop, attached to the bar with a few sex toys and XXX videos for sale. I asked if they had a Jacuzzi/Hot Tub room, and they said they did.
